Kate Middleton, Prince William jon Tom Cruise for 'Top Gun
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton, on Thursday evening, hit the red carpet for the UK premiere of 'Top Gun: Maverick' alongside its lead actor Tom Cruise.
According to the reports, for the occasion, Kate was dressed in a black floor-length Roland Mouret gown with a white off-the-shoulder neckline.
They were reportedly treated to a special screening of the ‘Top Gun’ sequel at the invitation of Cruise, who had heard William was a fan of the original 1986 movie, as per People magazine.
Prince William complemented his wife's chic look by opting for a classic blue velvet tuxedoand showed his love for aviation with shoes embroidered with two planes.
Cruise escorted the duke and duchess down the red carpet and introduced them to his co-stars, Jennifer Connelly and Miles Teller, as well as the film's producer, Jerry Bruckheimer.
Cruise is back in the air 36 years after the original "Top Gun" movie was released in 1986. "Top Gun: Maverick," which is scheduled for release in US theaters on May 27
The highly anticipated movie was originally due for release in July 2019 but was repeatedly pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
